Premier Hotel Properties on Track with New Build Gundersen Hotel & Suites in La Crosse, WI
Hotel marks company’s 6th hotel in the portfolio and their first independent lifestyle hotel
La Crosse, WI – April 13, 2017 – Executives at Premier Hotel Properties announced today their new independent boutique lifestyle hotel, the 67 room Gundersen Hotel & Suites, will open this summer adjacent to the Gundersen Health System La Crosse campus. The hotel will be the company’s first independent brand, and was developed in partnership via a licensing agreement with Gundersen Health Systems.
The company currently operates the Holiday Inn Express in Onalaska, and sees the positive future of the La Crosse market. “We wanted to expand the portfolio into the downtown La Crosse market, and determined the location and type of product we are creating aligned with a vision of the Gundersen Health Systems. The location, adjacent to the hospital campus, and an easy access to the core of downtown La Crosse give us a competitive edge in the market,” comments Spencer Schram, founder of Premier Hotel Properties. “The synergy of our vision for the hotel and the licensing agreement with the established Gundersen brand make this a unique hotel that will appeal to a wide array of guests visiting La Crosse.”
Site selection for the downtown area was carefully reviewed, and through the licensing arrangement, the hotel will be connected with an all-weather concourse connection to the Gundersen Health System campus. Only 1.5 miles from the downtown area, the hotel will accommodate a variety of business, leisure and group guests coming to La Crosse. “The hotel will appeal to guests not only coming into town for visits to the Gundersen Health System campus, but also for a variety of corporate, group and transient customers,” added Schram. “Our brand will be a hotel that enhances your well-being while on the road, providing a sense of connection, rejuvenation and convenience, and deliver a synergized high level experience for our guests.”
The Gundersen Hotel & Suites will have 67 guest studios, including 16 one bedroom suites with full kitchens. The spacious rooms will offer a fresh and modern design, and will feature complimentary high speed internet, Wisconsin roasted in room coffee, thoughtfully placed charging stations, work spaces and sitting areas to provide a home away from home level of comfort. The one bedroom suites have full kitchens, island style seating, and sitting areas with separate bedrooms. All rooms will feature the Olive Branch Botanicals personal care bath amenities.
Hotel amenities will include a free breakfast served daily with We Proudly Brew Caribou Coffee and Tea, Pepsi fountain beverages, signature bakery items from local vendors, fresh fruits, healthy choices and traditional breakfast favorites. Guest will enjoy access to the indoor pool, fitness center, business center, and the Riverview Terrace room on the fourth floor, with views of the bluffs along the river, offering a gathering point for family and friends with X Box and Wii games for the kids. The Riverview Terrace and the Executive Board Room are available to book for groups, events and meetings.
The hotel is now accepting reservations for stays after September 1, 2017, and can be booked online at the hotel website, www.gundersenhotel.com.
